Apr 11, 2020

We've just published an update to all of our subscribers, if you'd like to read the newsletter/COVID-19 Bulletin please click this link.

In the bulletin we provide an update on Creative BC's activities on behalf of the sector and we have assembled an updated list of resources and quick links that we hope will assist you.

Today, in partnership with the Province of B.C., we are also pleased to announce Showcase BC. (see April 11 Province of BC News Release)

The Showcase BC grant program provides immediate support in the form of micro-grants to eligible emerging and established B.C. musicians who have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Funded by the Province of British Columbia, this $750k program will be administered by Creative BC, funding artists to develop skills and bring a free live-stream event to British Columbians through the new online hub, showcasebc.ca.

On showcasebc.ca all creators in the sector are invited to post live-streaming events to entertain and sustain us, as we stay home and stay connected through made-in-B.C. creative content. Find and share events as they are posted with the hashtag #ShowcaseBC.

Stay tuned for information on next week's live-stream concert!
