Women in Music Canada is launching another cycle of its Entrepreneur Accelerator program. This program supports the next wave of female and gender-diverse Canadian music industry leaders. Over its past five years of operation, 70 participants have benefited from the program.

For this year’s intake, a cohort of 30 participants will collaborate and learn together to build an entrepreneurial community. The program is open to early career, or transitioning career industry entrepreneurs and artist entrepreneurs.  Each participant will be paired with a professional mentor, matched based on the participant’s individual goals, skills, abilities, and career aspirations.

Program highlights include the fundamentals of leadership, marketing and sales tactics, financial literacy and taxes, legal fundamentals, fundraising and grant writing, pitching, discoverability, and sync and publishing. All areas of focus will be explored from a female and gender-diverse entrepreneur lens.

The 2024 Entrepreneur Accelerator will run online from October 8 through November 7, 2024. Sessions will run between 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm, PT, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, weekly. Additional 1:1 mentoring sessions will be arranged between mentors and mentees.

Women in Music Canada values diversity, equity, and inclusion, and welcomes and invites female and gender-diverse people from diverse backgrounds to apply.
