Professional Development Program offered in partnership between Creative Pathways™ and Elevate Inclusion Strategies
Course Description:
Designed for leaders and supervisors, this collaborative, impactful two-day series equips participants with the knowledge and strategies needed to build productions and crews that are more inclusive. Participants strongly committed to creating a respectful and inclusive workplace culture and who wish to develop intercultural communications and leadership skills will benefit most from the retreat.
Using a human rights and Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) lens, topics include discrimination and harassment and its impacts, cultural awareness, unconscious bias, psychosocial health, and informal and formal grievance processes. Following this foundational session, the retreat moves onto the knowledge and tools needed to empower crews with inclusive leadership practices. This includes examining workplace conflict through a restorative lens, inclusive hiring for film crews, authentic allyship, and the power of coaching and mentoring.
Who should take this course?
Experienced B.C.-based supervisors and leaders already working in a leadership capacity or in the process (e.g. Producers, Directors, Heads of Department and Keys such as Location Manager, Production Manager, 1st Assistant Camera, 2nd Assistant Camera, 1st Assistant Director, 2nd Assistant Director, Assistant Set Decorator etc.).

Schedule: Facilitated 2-day Workshop Schedule: 9:30am – 4pm PT with a 1-hour lunch and 15-minute breaks in the morning and afternoon
Prerequisites
– Must be B.C.-based
– Must be already working in a leadership capacity or in the process
Upon successful completion, participants will receive:
– Certificate of Completion
– Social Media Badge

Creative Pathways™ and Elevate Inclusion Strategies Professional Development Programs are made possible by public provincial funds. Attendees of the program are Recipients of this training which is being delivered free of cost for participants. Inclusive Workplaces for Film and Television Workers is valued at $500 for a 2-day course.
