Port of Vancouver

Including more than 1,500 hectares of land and 16,000 hectares of water, stretching from Roberts Bank to Burrard Inlet and up the Fraser River, the Port of Vancouver is Canada’s largest port.

As part of our role overseeing the shared stewardship of the lands and waters that make up the port, the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority works with production companies to permit the use of port lands for filming purposes. To request the use of port lands or waters for filming, a proponent must complete a filming application form. We review every application for any safety and operations concerns, and work to ensure minimal impacts to port operations, such as shipping, navigation, transportation or other port interests. In some cases applications may need to go directly to a specific terminal for approval.
