'FROM OUR DARK SIDE' COMPETITION

Join the best in Canadian women-driven Genre Film ideas – be it thriller, horror, fantasy, sci-fi or a combination thereof. Submit your maximum 3-5 page Genre Film outline by NOVEMBER 16, 2015 and win a mentorship package designed to help you get your feature length project to the next stage. No previous film writing experience necessary. Open to women writers only.

Travel Grant Available Through Creative BC

Note that BC winners will be eligible to apply for Creative BC's Passport to Markets, a travel grant to Frontières at the Fantasia Genre Film Festival held in Montreal (July 2016).

WILLIAM F. WHITE MENTORSHIP

Applications will be accepted from OCTOBER 1 – NOVEMBER 23, 2015. Fee is $30.

Designed for independent producers interested in increasing their knowledge of Production Management, the mentorship program includes the ins and outs of equipment requirements/rentals, budgeting, and general resource planning,  including hands-on instruction at William F. White’s under the supervision of Ed Brando, Manager of Client Services, as well as sessions with a professional Production Manager.

WIFTV ACTOR CAREER MENTORSHIP

Applications accepted from OCTOBER 1- OCTOBER 31, 2015. Fee is $25.

The Actor Mentorship Program provides female actors with guidance and inspiration to develop their craft and advance their careers. Chosen applicants (mentees) are matched  with female working actors (mentors). They meet for one hour, once a month, for six months, to work through specific program goals.
