Mamá Pulpa is a four piece Latin rock band based in Mexico City. Their album Forastero was nominated Album of the Year by Txart Awards, and Best Fusion Album on the Indie-O Music Awards.The band performed in BC at the Victoria Ska Festival in 2019, and chose BC as their recording destination for their upcoming album.

The band is working on the recording with Howard Reddekop, Oliva Quan, and Stefan Nowarre at Monarch Studios and Menagerie Studios in Vancouver. The new album is anticipate for release later in 2020.

Mamá Pulpa has been making music together since 1996. Their first album, El Mundo Es Dificil was released on Sony/BMG and has had a cult following every since. Their follow-up albums El Tocadiscos and Forastero released on Fonografica Discorama opened up doors into new markets such as Canada, the United States, and Japan.
