Craving some classical music? Opera Mariposa is serving up some bite-sized musical content on YouTube! The company that "stands at the forefront of Vancouver's opera scene" (The Vancouver Project) has just launched Opera Treats: free, filmed opera programming that can be enjoyed by audiences at home and afar. Thanks to the support of Creative BC and the City of Vancouver, Mariposa spent the fall of 2020 prototyping safe and accessible musical practices – which led to the company's first recording project. Catch an exclusive performance by award-winning soprano Jacqueline Ko and acclaimed pianist Maria Hwa Yeong Jung, then subscribe to Opera Mariposa's YouTube channel today to make sure you don’t miss a thing!

Opera Mariposa also hosted a discussion about disability, accessibility, and inclusion in the operatic art form.
