British Columbia at MIA-Mercato Internazionale Audiovisivo 2024

Promoted jointly by Italian Association of Film, Audiovisual and Digital Industries and Italian Audiovisual Producers Association, MIA-Mercato Internazionale Audiovisivo, returns to Rome from October 14 to October 18, 2024 with its tenth edition. This event brings together the international professionals in the audiovisual industry for business development and networking opportunities. This year, British Columbia’s Pat Ferns from Ferns Productions will be attending with the support of Creative BC’s Passport to Markets program. It provides travel support to B.C.-based professionals of creative media to access key international markets, conferences, co-production and co-financing events. Creative BC’s support offsets a portion of travel, accommodation and registration expenses.

 

MIA-Mercato Internazionale Audiovisivo drew in 2,600 participants from 66 countries last year. The event featured over 80 panels and events, 5 content showcases, 4 pitching forums, and over 60 market screenings and film presentations.

 

Passport to Markets program is intended to assist producers explore co-production partnerships and develop relationships with broadcasters, distributors and financiers. Learn more here.
