Province and Creative BC announce $500,000 for new Signature Artist Program and Recipients of Sound Recording Program
The Province of British Columbia and Creative BC are allocating $500,000 for a new Signature Artist program, as part of the BC Music Fund.
This program is designed to support the growth of BC’s music industry by attracting internationally renowned artists from Canada and abroad to implement large scale projects in BC in order to make a significant economic impact on the provincial economy and create jobs for BC music professionals.
Applicants may apply for funding for large scale projects occurring in BC in support of an artist with significant international profile and track record of success. Eligible activities include sound recording, tour production, and other large scale projects.

$3.5 million awarded to more than 285 sound recording projects!
Creative BC is pleased to announce the list of grant recipients who have been awarded a total of $3.5 million dollars for sound recording projects in BC. The Sound Recording program has successfully attracted business to BC studios through the funding of recording projects for BC artists at various stages of their evolving careers.
Through this program, more than 270 diverse BC artists, and over 200 labels and music companies of different sizes, are being supported!
