New Report Reflects Positive Growth in Canada’s Motion Picture Industry

Today Creative BC celebrates Canada's motion picture industry growth together with the publishers of Profile 2017: The Canadian Media Producers Association (CMPA), in collaboration with the Association québécoise de la production médiatique (AQPM), the Department of Canadian Heritage, and Telefilm Canada.

Profile 2017 reflects the 2016/17 fiscal year and is an annual economic report on the screen-based production industry in Canada.

A key highlight is the 40% increase in job growth in BC year over year to 60,870 jobs in film, TV, animation, VFX and post-production.
