Hey Ocean!
Hey Ocean! is to many the quintessential West Coast band. Formed in 2004 by Vancouverites and friends Ashleigh Ball (vocals/flute), David Beckingham (vocals/guitar) and David Vertesi (vocals/bass) their music draws from many genres, blending various musical styles into a brand of infectious Pop that is uniquely their own. After signing with Universal Music Canada in 2011 for distribution, and receiving a Juno nomination for “Breakthrough Group of the Year” in 2013, Hey Ocean! have been riding on the wave of nationwide success propelled by their unique sound, compelling personalities and dynamic stage presence. What began as a very casual musical partnership between friends has morphed into one of Canada’s most successful independent bands.
Hey Ocean is currently recording their 4th album at two local Vancouver studios. We can look forward to seeing the band perform their new tracks in early 2017 when they begin their nationwide tour.
