Buckman Coe
Buckman Coe, based in the heart of East Vancouver, is a folk, Americana, and world songwriter with global ambitions. He is now four albums in and working on new projects to tour Western Canada, Hawaii, Australia, Asia, and beyond. Love songs, protest songs, plenty of storytelling, and songs that just groove and uplift. With bands at home, the Big Island of Hawaii, and Melbourne, Buckman Coe draws inspiration from world travels, records and creates in Vancouver, and exports his soul music back out into the world wherever opportunity presents itself.
When asked about his latest project, Buckman Coe says, "I am really grateful to be working at Blue Light Studio in East Van, right in my neighbourhood where most of my musical collaborators and friends reside. Kaj and the folk at the studio make it so easy to create in a relaxed yet efficient, and well-equipped space. The project we are working on is a return to my folk roots and will be my most raw and live offering yet."
Creative BC is proud to support Buckman Coe as part of the BC Music Fund’s Sound Recording Program.
