Melanie Dekker
A recipient of the BCMF Sound Recording Program, songwriter Melanie Dekker created her 8th studio album, Secret Spot, working with Sheldon Zaharko.
Recorded with Zed Productions, The Warehouse, Monarch Studio, and Demitone Studio, the album features 10 songs and a wide variety of BC-based musicians. The title of the album, Secret Spot, is representative of where Dekker's music originates and is created – her mind. These songs come from a 'soft spot' where Dekker has been moved by a human situation.
Dekker has performed with Diana Krall, Bryan Adams, Faith Hill and Russell Peters. Listen to Secret Spot and hear her wonderful musical ability.
