She is a singer-songwriter who brought her latest recording project to BC to record with the Cowboy Junkies' and Waylin' Jenny's producer Joby Baker at Baker Studios in Victoria, BC. Sadie wanted to work with Joby for years, and finally had an opportunity with the support of the Record in BC program for her third studio album, Phoenix.

Her first single, "Don't Silence Me", was released on International Women's Day. This was picked up by CBS News and the BBC and received considerable international coverage. Sadie has also returned to touring and plans to return to Canada next year.
