Artemis Musicians Society
Artemis Musicians’ Society is pleased to present a series of multimedia performances accompanied by real testimony collected by the UN from survivors of Japanese “comfort stations” during WWII. In 2019, creative director and founder Katelin Coleman traveled to South Korea to collect these stories from survivors currently living at the House of Sharing. Other testimonials were gathered by the UN. Thank you to the survivors, whose bravery and resilience inspired us to take this project on in the first place, and whose example will serve as inspiration for the rest of our lives.
Watch the videos, with performances by Katelin Rose Coleman, Joanna Lee, Morgan Zentner and Chronfused. Supported by Creative BC and the City of Vancouver.
