Apply for the Olivia Quan Award for Audio Excellence
In February 2023, the official Olivia Quan Award for Audio Excellence launched at Music BC. The award has been created in honour of the late Olivia Quan, a Vancouver-based recording engineer who passed away unexpectedly in July 2022. Olivia was 25.
The Award is now open for 2023/24 submissions. If you are interested in learning more about the fund, or donating, you can do so here.
The Award is a $5,000 cash prize, awarded once per year by a selection committee comprised of Olivia’s family and close friends. The successful recipient will be 25 or under, and exhibit dedication to the mastery of audio engineering. Funding can be allocated in support of training and skills development, relevant educational and living expenses, and associated travel.
The next deadline to apply for this award is April 12, 2024, at 5:00 pm PT.
