British Columbia at FAME Week Africa 2024

FAME Week Africa is an essential destination for African and global creative professionals and features content sessions, music showcases, film screenings, exhibitions and a variety of networking opportunities. Conferences and festivals will celebrate the convergence of the technology, film, television, animation, and music industries. This year, British Columbia’s Sean O’Reilly from Arcana Studio and Vincente Kabo Baker from Morafe Pictures will be attending with the support of Creative BC’s Passport to Markets program. It provides travel support to B.C.-based professionals of creative media to access key international markets, conferences, co-production and co-financing events. Creative BC’s support offsets a portion of travel, accommodation and registration expenses.

From September 1 to September 7, 2024, FAME Week Africa is held in Cape Town and the content sessions this year are themed as “Taking Back The Narrative”. Over 160 speakers are going to deliver more than 70 sessions to inspire the participants’ business and creativity.

Passport to Markets program is intended to assist producers explore co-production partnerships and develop relationships with broadcasters, distributors and financiers. Learn more here.
