British Columbia at Venice Gap Financing Market 2024
From August 30 to September 1, 2024, the Venice Gap Financing Market is back for another year, offering opportunities for global professionals in motion picture industry to close their international financing through one-to-one meetings with international decision-makers. This year, British Columbia’s Tyler Hagan from Experimental Forest Films will be attending with the support of Creative BC’s Passport to Markets program. It provides travel support to B.C.-based professionals of creative media to access key international markets, conferences, co-production and co-financing events. Creative BC’s support offsets a portion of travel, accommodation and registration expenses.
Taking place during the 81st Venice International Film Festival, the 3-day Venice Gap-Financing Market will present 61 projects from around the world in the final stages of development and funding. This year, almost 320 project applications have been received from around the world.
Passport to Markets program is intended to assist producers explore co-production partnerships and develop relationships with broadcasters, distributors and financiers. Learn more here.
