B.C. Delegates Strengthen International Ties at the 25th Annual Asia TV Forum (ATF)
The 25th annual Asia TV Forum (ATF), held in Singapore from December 3–6, 2024, served as a pivotal event in one of the world’s largest co-production and entertainment content markets. Bringing together industry professionals from across the globe, ATF provides a dynamic platform for collaboration, networking, and the exchange of ideas, all with the aim of shaping the next generation of Asian content.
Racial Equity Screen Office (RESO) Leads B.C. Delegation at ATF 2024
A highlight of ATF 2024 was the Racial Equity Screen Office (RESO) leading a successful delegation from British Columbia, which included B.C.-based producers Osric Chau and Renuka Singh. Supported by Telefilm Canada, Canada Media Fund (CMF), Canadian Media Producers Association (CMPA), and Creative BC, the delegation engaged in impactful networking and showcased co-production-ready projects for the Indo-Pacific region.
This initiative also strengthened B.C.’s creative footprint in Asia, fostered new opportunities for international co-productions in the region, and heightened the visibility of B.C.’s screen industry and talent in the Indo-Pacific region.
B.C. Builds Global Connections: High-Level Talks with Key Industry Players in Indo-Pacific Region
The B.C. delegates engaged in high-level meetings with Robert Wong (Vice President, Creative BC) and key agencies across the Indo-Pacific region. These discussions were an essential part of B.C.’s ongoing efforts to strengthen international co-productions and build lasting relationships with prominent industry leaders. Notable meetings included representatives from:
- Infocomm Media Development Authority of Singapore (IMDA)
- Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP)
- Taiwan Creative Content Agency (TAICCA)
- Thailand Creative Culture Agency (THACCA)
- Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA)
The delegation also hosted a pan-Canadian kickoff reception, Canada @ ATF, in collaboration with the High Commission of Canada in Singapore, to further foster international partnerships and facilitate cultural exchange.
