Fleet of 10 new electric trucks arrive in B.C.

As film productions make the transition to electric vehicles, the arrival of 10 new electric trucks in British Columbia marks an exciting step forward. Available for rent starting February 2025 through Velocity Truck Rental and Leasing (VTRL), these trucks are designed to meet the increasing demand for sustainable transportation options.
The fleet consists of eight box trucks and two flatbed trucks from the Rizon e18 series, a 3-ton truck that’s particularly suited for inner-city transport. These trucks are packed with features to streamline production logistics:
- Car-like drivability and a quiet operation for stress-free urban navigation
- No air brakes, making them easier to operate
- An electric tailgate powered by its own independent battery
The trucks can be charged via mains power with a Level 2 connection while idle or overnight, if a Level 2 connection is not available, a kit with adaptors ensures charging flexibility. Their compact size makes them nimble enough to park at an EV charging station, plus VTRL are investing in portable charging solutions for remote locations.? On average, a full charge equates to 200km travel range based on a 50% payload.?
To inquire about using this new fleet on your next production, contact VTRL.
