British Columbia at Hot Docs 2025

From April 24 through May 4, four B.C. creators will attend Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival (Hot Docs), the largest North American documentary festival, conference, and market with support from Creative BC’s Passport to Markets program. The program provides travel support to B.C.-based creative media professionals, helping them access key international markets, conferences, co-production, and co-financing events. Creative BC’s support offsets a portion of travel, accommodation, and registration expenses.

Each year, Hot Docs presents over 200 cutting-edge films from around the world, with B.C. productions among those featured this year. The festival celebrates the art of documentary filmmaking through its exceptional showcases and by creating production opportunities for documentary filmmakers.
