British Columbia at Gamescom 2025

Between August 20 and 24, 2025, British Columbia’s acclaimed video game companies will be in attendance at Gamescom 2025, among industry giants such as Nintendo, Xbox, Ubisoft, and Sega. Hosted in Cologne, Germany, Gamescom is the world’s largest gaming event, a trade fair that attracted 32,000 trade visitors and 1,463 exhibitors from 120 countries at its 2024 edition.
Over five days, the Koelnmesse exhibition center will become a hub for thoughtful discussions and visionary panels. The space will feature public areas for game demos and esports events, a business area focused on networking and press, as well as the Opening Night Live, a globally streamed event through which major game publishers and developers reveal new game premieres, trailers, and announcements.

British Columbia’s tech sector will be present at Gamescom 2025 at the Canada Pavilion, a shared space for Canadian companies to network, meet with buyers, contacts, and partners. A powerhouse of innovation and storytelling, B.C.’s interactive and digital media industry is one of the most dynamic engines in the B.C. economy and is a key driver of skilled jobs that will define the future of the province.
