Breaking Down Racial Barriers Launches F.A.M.E. Program to Empower Black Canadian Music Managers

Breaking Down Racial Barriers (BDRB) is proud to announce the launch of F.A.M.E. (Foundations & Acceleration for Management Excellence), a new, free national incubator program designed to strengthen capacity, leadership, and sustainability for Black Canadian musical artists.
Program Highlights:
- Weekly free workshops with industry leaders in management, financial planning, legal essentials, marketing, touring, and publishing
- One-on-one mentorship and networking opportunities with senior music executives
- Subject expert/guest speakers from Canadian and U.S. music markets
- Facilitation by veteran music manager Katrina Lopes
- A curriculum grounded in the distinct realities of Black music managers
- Pathways to export opportunities and industry funding resources
Program Details:
- Commitment: 8-week online program combining live workshops, mentorship & networking
- Dates: Tuesday & Thursdays from 1 PM – 3 PM, EST between October 14 – December 4, 2025
- Format: Fully virtual via Zoom (open to participants across Canada)
- Language: English
- Schedule: Classes held twice per week, 2 hours per session
