British Columbia at MIPCOM 2025

From October 13 to 16, 2025, delegates from British Columbia will attend MIPCOM Cannes, supported by the Passports to Markets program.

Since its founding in 1985, MIPCOM (Marché International des Programmes de Communication) has grown into the global content market for television, streaming, and digital media. It draws over 12,000 audiovisual professionals from 110+ countries, including broadcasters, distributors, producers, content creators, format developers, and platform executives.

MIPCOM offers an intense environment of business: buying, selling, financing and distributing shows and formats, discovering international co-production and partnership opportunities, and exploring emerging trends (such as FAST/AVOD platforms, the creator economy, AI, and technology-driven content).

Through the Passports to Markets program, Creative BC provides targeted travel support that enables B.C.-based creative media professionals to access these high-value opportunities. This investment helps local producers and companies expand their international networks, secure co-production and financing partnerships, and strengthen B.C.’s visibility and competitiveness in the global screen industry.
