Call for Applications: Canada House at The Great Escape 2026

CIMA will be returning to The Great Escape in Brighton, UK in May 2026! We will be hosting Canada House showcases on site and providing business opportunities for participating Canadian companies. The Great Escape is the festival for new music, showcasing 500+ emerging artists from all over the world in 30+ walkable venues across the city. Music industry professionals from across the globe descend on The Great Escape to discover new music and attend the conference run alongside the showcasing component which features panels, keynote speeches, networking opportunities and more.

CIMA is currently looking for bands/artists who want to showcase at Canada House in 2026. Please note that this opportunity is open to partner hosts as well.
When: May 13-16, 2026
Where: Brighton, UK
Details:
– There is no fee to submit a Canada House showcasing application.
– If you are accepted the presenter of the showcase will be charged (ie. A provincial host partner of CIMA’s).
– Please note that each artist must have a business representative. Artists can act as their own representative if they are comfortable taking part in the business events.
– Companies interested in participating in just the business portion of this mission (no showcasing artist) will be invoiced once this application is complete.
– Final selection of the Canada House showcasing artists will be made by The Great Escape.
Fees: Please note that Canada House showcases are co-presented by the provincial music associations, partners and funders. These showcasing costs will be incurred by the presenting partner.
How to Apply:
– Fill out CIMA’s Canada House application form here.
– Complete The Great Escape’s artist application form here. While applications are open until February, artists are encouraged to apply as early as possible, and by the end of November, if they are interested in a Canada House slot. This allows for adequate time for marketing, promotion and to obtain funding.
– Contact your local provincial music association to discuss your export plan for the UK market (ex. Alberta Music, Manitoba Music, Music BC, MusicOntario, Music New Brunswick, Music NL, Music Nova Scotia, Music PEI, Music Yukon, SaskMusic, SODEC etc)
