Project Development Fund Guidelines Update for 2025/26
The guidelines for the Project Development Fund program have been amended to incorporate two additional triggering agents for fiscal year 2025/26:
- CMF Indigenous Development and Predevelopment Fund – reinstated following verification of its current administration by the Indigenous Screen Office (ISO)
- Indigenous Screen Office Development Program – newly established inclusion
The Indigenous Screen Office does not constitute a conventional triggering entity as defined by traditional parameters (i.e., broadcasters, distributors, or federal funding organizations). However, an exception has been granted in consideration of the Indigenous Screen Office’s formalized partnership with the Canada Media Fund and its mandate to advance Indigenous storytelling. This determination supports and is in alignment with Creative BC’s strategic priority to elevate Indigenous narratives developed by Indigenous creators.
See the updated guidelines here.
