British Columbia at American Film Market 2025

Nov 1, 2025

From November 11 to 16, 2025, eight delegates from British Columbia will attend the American Film Market (AFM) in Los Angeles, with support from Creative BC’s Passports to Markets program.

Established in 1981, the AFM is one of the world’s premier film industry markets, bringing together thousands of global professionals—including producers, distributors, sales agents, financiers, and development executives. Each year, more than $1 billion in production and distribution deals are initiated at this event, making it a key platform for connecting independent creators with international partners and investors.

Through the Passports to Markets program, Creative BC provides targeted travel support that enables B.C.-based creative media professionals to access these high-value opportunities. This investment helps local producers and companies expand their international networks, secure co-production and financing partnerships, and strengthen B.C.’s visibility and competitiveness in the global screen industry.
