British Columbia at DOC NYC 2025

From November 12 to 20, 2025, delegates from British Columbia will attend DOC NYC in New York City, supported by Creative BC’s Passports to Markets program.

DOC NYC is America’s largest documentary film festival and industry gathering, showcasing over 200+ films and serving as a major hub for documentary creators, financiers, distributors, programmers, and commissioning editors. The event includes DOC NYC PRO, its conference and business track, which offers intensive panels, masterclasses, live pitches, and roundtables focused on documentary craft, funding, distribution, and innovative storytelling.

Through the Passports to Markets program, Creative BC provides targeted travel support that enables B.C.-based creative media professionals to access these high-value opportunities. This investment helps local producers and companies expand their international networks, secure co-production and financing partnerships, and strengthen B.C.’s visibility and competitiveness in the global screen industry.
