The Minister of Canadian Identity and Culture and Minister responsible for Official Languages will lead a Creative Industries Trade Mission to Shanghai, China, from October 11-14, 2026, in collaboration with the Trade Commissioner Service. This trade mission will leverage Canada and China commitment to explore further opportunities for cultural partnerships and help expand creative industries trade between the two countries.
The business delegation will be comprised of up to 20 companies representing the creative industries, subsectors will include performing arts and interactive digital media (including gaming). The trade mission business program will include market briefings, curated B2B meetings, site visits and networking sessions.
PCH has issued a call for applications for this trade mission, which is open until July 19, 2026. We invite you to complete the application form if your organization is interested in participating in the trade mission’s general program (the general program includes the same program components as the commercial program, with the exception of B2B meetings scheduled by a consultant).
Although the sectors covered are limited to interactive digital media and the performing arts for the commercial component, government organizations and industry associations from other sectors are invited to submit an application to be part of a government delegation.
Deadline: Sunday, July 19, 2026
