From October 11 to 15, 2026, British Columbia’s video game companies will participate in the Canadian Creative Industries Trade Mission to China, led by the Department of Canadian Heritage in collaboration with Canada’s Trade Commissioner Service. The mission will bring together Canadian interactive and digital media companies to explore new business opportunities, strengthen international partnerships, and expand their presence in one of the world’s largest and fastest-growing creative markets.
Taking place in Shanghai and Shenzhen, the trade mission will feature tailored business-to-business meetings, networking events, market intelligence sessions, and opportunities to connect with key industry stakeholders, potential buyers, and strategic partners. Designed for experienced exporters, the mission supports Canadian companies looking to build long-term relationships and grow their international business in China.
Creative BC is proud to support five British Columbia video game companies participating in the mission through financial assistance and export development support. A Creative BC representative will also accompany the delegation, helping showcase the strength, creativity, and global potential of B.C.’s interactive digital media industry.
