Vancouver, B.C. (July 8, 2026) – Today, Creative BC announces 84 Amplify BC grants through the Career Development program (the Program), totalling $1.25M distributed to recipients across the province.
The Program, launched in 2018 as part of Amplify BC, is funded by the Province of B.C. to support the growth, competitiveness, and sustainability of B.C.’s music and sound recording industry. It fosters the economic growth and career development of both emerging and established B.C. artists through investing in specific sound recording, marketing, and video production projects.
Since its inception, the Program has supported over 1,000 grants for artist projects, providing nearly $11.5 million in funding to help develop B.C.’s music talent and grow its economic impact. These grants not only enhance artists’ earning potential but also drive economic activity across the industry, benefiting studios, recording professionals, session musicians, producers, and the creative sector at large. Additionally, the program fosters audience development locally, nationally, and internationally by investing in the creation and marketing of intellectual property and strengthening artists’ digital presence.
Eligible activities include recording singles, EPs, and LPs for commercial release, producing music videos and other video content that builds an artist’s brand, and a broad range of marketing initiatives such as photography, publicity, marketing assets, and digital content.
The following 84 emerging and established artists will be granted from $1,650 to up to $30,000 for eligible activities:

“Music is powerful. It inspires, connects, and brings people together. These grants help musicians bring their ideas to life, whether it’s recording new music, producing remarkable videos, or reaching new audiences. We are proud to support B.C.’s incredible artists through Amplify BC, as this support not only fuels creativity, but also drives economic activity and creates good jobs across the industry. I can’t wait to hear what this year’s grant recipients create and achieve.”Robert Wong, Vice President, Creative BC
“Congratulations to the 84 recipients of this round of Amplify BC’s Career Development program. Since its launch, the program has supported over 1,000 projects by artists across British Columbia, helping them build sustainable careers and unlock new professional opportunities. Each recipient contributes to a dynamic and interconnected music and sound recording industry that generates $484 million in economic activity for B.C., while also shaping the creative expression and cultural vitality of communities across the province.”Scott Johnson, Executive Director, Music BC
“Since its launch in 2018, the Career Development program has become a cornerstone of B.C.’s music ecosystem, and this latest round of funding continues that legacy. By supporting artists at every stage of their career, we’re fueling real economic growth across the industry, from emerging talent to the studios, producers, and music businesses that bring their work to life. It’s an investment that strengthens one of Canada’s most dynamic music markets, while enriching the cultural fabric of our province.”Snowchild Edge, Program Recipient
“I’m really grateful to receive the Creative BC Career Development grant at this stage in my career. This support allows me to invest more intentionally into the creation and rollout of my upcoming project, from production to marketing, and ultimately reach a wider audience. As an independent artist, access to funding like this makes a real difference, not just in the quality of the music, but in the ability to build a sustainable career. Programs like this are vital in helping emerging artists as myself take meaningful steps forward and connect Canadian music to a global audience.”Media Contact:
