Creative Pathways™ and INFilm have partnered to deliver a course for individuals interested in working in the Accounting Department in B.C.’s motion picture industry. It will provide participants with an understanding of the motion picture industry ecosystem and the fundamental skills, knowledge, and abilities required to work in an entry-level accounting role as a payroll clerk.
Who should apply?
This program is suited for individuals who:
- Understand the freelance nature of the film industry and are committed to starting in an entry-level role in the accounting department.
- Are motivated to complete all aspects of the program, including online sessions, readings, quizzes, and discussions, and achieve at least 70% overall to earn their certificate. Participants should expect to dedicate at least 4–5 hours per week towards this course.
- Thrive in fast‑paced environments and bring strong organizational, interpersonal, and critical‑thinking skills.
- Ideally, have experience in accounting, clerical, or administrative roles. Film experience isn’t required, but applicants should be prepared for high‑volume, high‑pressure workloads, especially in payroll.
