Okanagan Film Fundamentals 2016

The Okanagan Film Fundamentals 2016 consists of two separate events:

  • Motion Picture Industry Orientation Course
    March 3-4 or March 5-6
    This two day course teaches the foundations needed to work safely on a film set, and is a mandatory requirement to apply to most film labour organizations in BC.
  • Symposium
    March 5-6
    The symposium brings together some of the most talented people in the industry to lead workshops and sessions on film and television production, financing, script writing, directing, budgeting, distribution, pitching story ideas, and entertainment law. There will also be opportunities for participants to network and build relationships with industry VIPs and forums for participants to pitch their films to real funders and producers.

Win tickets to the Okanagan Film Fundamental Motion Picture Orientation Course!

The Kelowna Film Society is offering a contest to win a bursary to attend the Okanagan Film Fundamentals Motion Picture Industry Orientation Course.  The Kelowna Film Society is helping finance six winners to attend the course. You pay 50 bucks – they pay the rest!

How to win? SIMPLE! Write a letter (2 pages MAX) and send it to camera@kelownafilm.com – Tell them who you are and what your goals in the industry are, why you want to attend the course, how it will help you and how the bursary will help you.

Deadline to get your letters in: FEBRUARY 8TH – 5 PM.
WINNERS will be announced on February 18th!
