Canadian musicians: apply to the ‘It’s Your Shot’ music talent competition for a $100,000 grand prize
It’s Your Shot is a music talent competition launched by Slaight Music in June 2010, and is Canada’s premiere songwriting and artist development competition.
The contest is open to all musical genres, and runs until May 31, 2023, with the winner set to be announced June 30, 2023. Winners will receive the opportunity to develop a 6-song digital EP, and a comprehensive package of studio, marketing, mentorship, and production services designed to support the EP’s production, release, and marketing. This grand prize is valued at $100,000 CAD in total.
Artists are encouraged to submit a song and/or video to www.itsyourshot.ca. Artists signed to a major label are ineligible. Applicants must be based in Canada.
The application deadline is May 31, 2023.
