Creative BC announces 101 grants in support to emerging and established musicians through Amplify BC’s Career Development Program

Vancouver, B.C. (April 8, 2025) – Today, Creative BC announces 101 Amplify BC grants through the Career Development program (the Program), totalling $1.2M distributed to recipients across the province.
The Career Development Program, launched in 2018 as part of Amplify BC, is funded by the Province of B.C. to support the growth, competitiveness, and sustainability of B.C.’s music industry. It fosters the economic and career development of both emerging and established B.C. artists in sound recording, marketing, and music video production.
Since its inception, the program has supported 875 grants for artist projects, providing $9.8 million in funding to help develop B.C.’s music talent. These grants not only enhance artists’ earning potential but also drive economic activity across the industry, benefiting studios, recording professionals, producers, and music companies. Additionally, the program fosters audience development locally, nationally, and internationally by investing in the creation and marketing of intellectual property and strengthening artists’ digital presence.
