
On May 31, industry professionals are invited to take part in a day of workplace safety education and engagement hosted by Actsafe, Vancouver Island South Film and Media Commission and CineVic Safety. The morning will begin with the Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment workshop, where attendees will gain hands-on experience identifying, categorizing, and managing workplace hazards.
In the afternoon, participants will attend a session on mental wellbeing and psychological safety on set. They’ll discover stress-reducing tools, explore emerging support roles like Wellbeing Facilitators, and connect with peers who are passionate about building a safer, healthier industry.
