BC Book Day is an annual celebration that highlights the contributions of British Columbia’s publishing ecosystem. Coordinated by the Association of Book Publishers of BC (Book BC), BC Book Day encourages British Columbians to recognize and support local authors, illustrators, bookstores, publishers, and festivals that connect communities to unique local stories.
To support BC Book Day, British Columbians can buy B.C.-published books from independent bookstores or publisher websites, encourage schools and libraries to stock B.C. and Canadian-published books using the B.C. Books for Schools catalogue, and celebrate Canadian Independent Bookstore Day on April 26 by visiting local bookstores to explore their collections.
