About the Program

Since 2013, TELUS STORYHIVE has funded productions and supported emerging filmmakers with mentorship and support from the National Screen Institute, bringing hundreds of films to life online and around the world. Creative BC partners with STORYHIVE to support innovative and local storytellers through various editions.

Open now for applications is the 2026 TELUS STORYHIVE Three-Part Docuseries Edition. This first-time program is offering new and emerging filmmakers $20,000 in production funding to produce a locally reflective three-part documentary series. In addition to the funding, selected projects will also receive mentorship from the National Screen Institute and distribution on TELUS Optik TV, Stream+ and the STORYHIVE YouTube channel. B.C. participants will receive top-up funding from Creative BC of $5,000. Learn more and apply by May 14, 2026 on STORYHIVE’s website.
