Team STORYHIVE and the Black Screen Office (BSO) were blown away by the response to the TELUS STORYHIVE Black Creators Edition. The creativity and quality of each pitch was impressive and truly displayed the inspiring talent of our community.

With the high quality and number of submissions from across British Columbia and Alberta, we have increased the number of grants from 20 and will be funding 30 emerging Black creators. These selected recipients will each receive $20,000 in production funding, customized training, mentorship and distribution on TELUS Optik TV.

We would like to thank our esteemed committee of Black leaders from the film industry as well as community members that helped us select the projects.

With the generous support of Creative BC, the B.C.-based creators will also receive top-up funding.
