B.C.’s motion picture industry is committed to safe and fair workplaces, embodying environmental sustainability and promoting reconciliation, equity, diversity, and inclusion for all, both on-screen and behind the camera. Every stage of our production process should reflect this commitment.
As individuals in the motion picture industry, this is our collective responsibility: to champion equitable, diverse Canadian representation for the global audience, and model reconciliation with B.C.’s Indigenous peoples. The industry does not tolerate hate or discrimination, or any words or actions that threaten the well-being of the community or crew. Together, we actively work to make our industry a safe place for all to thrive.
The motion picture industry acknowledges the unceded territories of the First Nations language and cultural groups upon whose homelands the industry works and lives. Learn more through native-land.ca and the Indigenous Screen Office’s Protocols and Pathways.
