B.C.-based musicians and bands are invited to apply for a feature showcase at the M for Montreal Festival. Deadline is June 6, 2022!

Each November, the M for Montreal music conference and festival animates over 15 venues throughout Montreal, Quebec. Over 100 local and international emerging artists and bands receive opportunities to mingle and connect with hundreds of fans and industry professionals. Presented with support from Caisse Desjardins de la Culture, the event is one of the most vibrant music gatherings found within the annual North American conference calendar.

The 17th iteration of this festival will occur in person from November 16 – 20, 2022. Bands and artists across B.C. are invited to apply for a showcase opportunity at this event. Applications close on June 6, 2022.

How to apply: 

M for Montreal seeks artists interested in growing their careers at a national and international level. Having an established team, at least one commercial album release, a live performance history, and a demonstrable social media following are all key metrics for consideration in the assessment process. 

  • The call for artists for the 2022 Festival will close on July 6.
  • There is a nonrefundable $45 CAD application fee. 
  • Artists must complete an online application form, including essential information such as a short biography, music, and photos. 
  • Selected artists must be available from September 12 – 14 and October 3 – 5, 2022. They also must be available from November 16 – 19 during M for Montreal to participate in different elements of the festival.
