Learn more about music royalties and reproduction rights with a CMRRA info session: RSVP by July 12, 2023
Are you a self-published songwriter or publisher?
An upcoming information session from the Canadian Musical Reproduction Rights Agency (CMRRA) may be for you.
This session is an opportunity for self-published songwriters, publishers, and music administrators to connect in-person with the CMRRA Publisher Engagement team, get updates on CMRRA activities, and ask questions!
The CMRRA is a dynamic music licensing agency representing music copyright owners. The agency’s clients are music publishers and self-published songwriters who own the rights to the vast majority of songs recorded, sold, streamed, and broadcast in Canada. The agency’s team works diligently on behalf of our clients to negotiate licensing agreements, collect royalties from licensees (Apple, Spotify, Amazon, YouTube, Facebook, TikTok, radio stations, major and independent record labels, and others) and to distribute those royalties.
The CMRRA will soon be hosting a special information session for B.C.-based music professionals to learn more about these royalties. This session is open to all current CMRRA members, as well as self-published songwriters and music company representatives working in music publishing. This event will be offered at no cost.
