Pink Flamingo, National Access Arts Centre, and Good Night Out Vancouver are collaborating to host a series of industry-specific bystander intervention trainings.
The next training session will target professionals who work in the live events field: events, promotional activities, and photography.
Date: Sunday, April 17, 2022 | Time: 7:00 – 830 PM
There is no cost to participate in this event, but participants must register in advance.
Location: Sessions are taking place on the ground floor of the Ellis Building at 1024 Main Street, in Vancouver. This area of the building and the non-gendered washroom are wheelchair accessible.
Details: Each session will consist of a panel discussion, Q&A, performance, and social mingler. Attendees will leave this session with an increased awareness of the microaggressions and violence that marginalized people can often face on a daily basis, as well as tools to safely intervene in conflict, support victims, and foster meaningful community connections.
Each learning event will be filmed, edited, and captioned in order to be presented via a subsequent webcast. The webcast will be hosted on pinkflamingo.ca and any associated syndicates in the future. There is seating available, which will not show on camera.
Note: Due to capacity constraints, a maximum of three representatives can be accepted from any one organization.
