Reel Green is an initiative to put sustainable production at the forefront of the motion picture industry in BC. This effort is not possible without the incredible collective of partners that support Reel Green and its mission. These partners make up the Reel Green Advisory Committee which guides the Reel Green Strategic Plan and helps generate awareness for the program. This year, Reel Green is excited to announce its 2018 partners who share the vision of a sustainable motion picture industry.

Returning Partners:

  • Creative BC | an independent not for profit agency, funded by the provincial government and responsible for promoting and developing the creative industries in British Columbia.

  • Canadian Media Producers Association | represents the interests of screen-based media companies engaged in the production and distribution of English-language television programs, film, and new media content in all regions of Canada.

  • IATSE 669 | representing Camera persons in Western Canada since 1990.

  • IATSE 891 | consists of over 8,000 professional artists and technicians who work in film and television production in BC.

  • SIM Group | a leading supplier of production equipment, workflow/dailies and post-production solutions, and has expanded to include stages and production offices in Vancouver.

  • The Union of BC Performers (UBCP/ACTRA) | an autonomous branch of ACTRA (Alliance of Canadian Cinema, Television, and Radio Artists), the national organization of professional performers working in the English-language recorded media in Canada.

  • Vancouver Film Studios | located in Vancouver, providing modern production facilities and infrastructure for both film and television projects of any scope and scale.

Reel Green as a program values knowledge, inspiration, and empowerment to support the Reel Green vision. While Reel Green is housed at Creative BC, it is a program that will thrive because of collaboration and partnership with those in the motion picture industry and the plan reflects this openness.
