Curtis Clear Sky & the Constellationz
Career Development recipient Curtis Clear Sky & the Constellationz have just released their debut album, Indigifunk. Curtis Clear Sky was born and raised on Coast Salish territory – Vancouver BC.
The record was recorded and co-produced by Kat Hendrix and released on the local Indigenous label, Dignified Records. The album is a mix of latin funk, soul, ska, reggae, and hip hop.
Curtis Clear Sky was also awarded a First Peoples Cultural Council (FPCC) Individual Artist Award in 2016 and 2017 and attended the FPCC Indigenous Music Industry Retreat in 2018. His label and Indigenous music newsletter will go on to support other up and coming Indigenous artists.
