Earth Month Entertainment To Watch!
In celebration of Earth month, our Reel Green Provincial partner Netflix and National partner CBC Radio-Canada have shared collections of sustainability focused content to tune into and watch. Learn about the available content and share these titles with your networks and friends to celebrate Earth Day!Â
Netflix’s “One World, Infinite Wonder” collection contains 170+ sustainability stories about our planet and its heroes, ranging from dramas like The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind and Sweet Tooth to comedies like Don’t Look Up, from documentaries like A Life on Our Planet to family-friendly titles like Bigfoot Family.Â
It also features new April releases: Captain Nova (April 1st), Our Great National Parks (April 13th) and Youth v Gov (April 29th). The cross-genre collection explores solutions, challenges and unconventional heroes, evoking humor, metaphor, wonder and more. Â
One of the titles in the collection is Our Great National Parks, an epic five-part documentary series narrated by former US President Barack Obama, is now streaming on Netflix. Spanning five continents, the series invites viewers to celebrate and discover the power of our planet’s greatest national parks and wild spaces. Its accompanying Wild for All campaign encourages viewers to experience and preserve wild spaces for future generations to come.

In recognition of Earth Week 2022, CBC Radio-Canada is offering a week-long slate of programming of new and original content that focuses on climate change and the environment called “Our Changing Planet Collection“, running from April 18-22.
This content is for all ages and is available on multiple platforms, including CBC TV and CBC Gem. Some of the content includes Canadian original documentaries, family-friendly Earth-Day related videos, the fourth season of the Webby-winning CBC Podcast series Tai Asks Why, and a virtual event on climate change taking place on April 21, hosted by CBC Radio What on Earth’s Laura Lynch.Â
