CALL FOR APPLICATIONS: Interactive + Digital Media Mission to Berlin
In collaboration with Creative BC, Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg and the Trade Commissioner Service of Canada, Ontario Creates is organizing an Ontario/British Columbia IDM Trade Mission to Berlin, Germany from August 28 to 31, 2022.

This Trade Mission is designed to facilitate business opportunities between Ontario/BC and German companies working in IDM content creation (XR experiences, video games, video content for interactive platforms, etc.)
The mission is primarily focused on co-production and partnership. Activities will include content jams, case study presentations, curated B2B meeting and opportunities to meet with potential business partners. Participants should arrive in Berlin on Sunday, August 28 with departures on Thursday, September 1 (the program will conclude midday on August 31).
Up to 15 established Ontario and BC IDM companies will be selected to participate in the mission. Preference will be given to companies that have released projects internationally.
Selection criteria:
· Prior experience and success in international markets
· Suitability of current slate of projects for German partnership/market
· Rationale for participation including interest in forming partnerships with German companies
Companies with an interest in participating in the Trade Mission should submit an application here by 5:00pm ET on May 18, 2022.
In addition to completing a short application form the following supporting material is required:
· a corporate bio including reference to prior success in international markets
· a personal bio for the company representative participating in the mission
· an outline of the company’s current projects including, as appropriate: title, description, target market, format/platform, status of publisher/distributor involvement, stage of development, suitability for the mission
· a statement outlining interest in and objectives for participating in the mission
· a budget for travel expenses
Participants will be selected the week of May 23, 2022. Companies selected to participate in the Trade Mission will be offered up to $2,500 (not exceeding 50% of expenses). Note: costs that are covered through other Ontario Creates programs cannot be included in participants’ budgets (i.e. flights to Germany for Gamescom). Delegates are responsible for their own travel arrangements and must be able to attend in-person sessions in Germany, August 28-31, 2022.
