Immerse yourself into the Afro-Cuban cultural identity. Hebert Poll GutiƩrrez is a Cuban storyteller, author, playwright, and poet with 16 years of experience. Rodolfo Ortega, a Mexican filmmaker and TV producer with more than 30 years of experience, and the Mexican actress, producer, and playwright Anna Salas, will guide us in a conversation about the history of the Cuban ancestors.
The program for the night will include the projection of the short filmĀ EmĆ LaarĆ”, based on the book by Gladys F. GutiĆ©rrez RodrĆguez and Hebert Poll GutiĆ©rrez. Live music performance by Afro-Cuban percussionist Israel (Toto) Berriel and more.
This art event is an invitation to discover the richness of Cuban culture through literature, film, dance, and music. Weāll be providing space to share comments and, of course, ask questions!
