Canadian Media Fund Upcoming Program Deadlines
(Toronto, May 1, 2014) – The Canada Media Fund (CMF) would like to remind all applicants about upcoming key program deadlines including the Experimental Stream’s Development and Marketing support, the Aboriginal Program (Production), and the English Point of View (POV) Program.
The closing date for the Experimental Stream’s Development and Marketing support first round of funding is May 13, 2014. Development support provides funding for the conceptualization of an eligible project and/or for the development of the creative and technical elements of an eligible project and the drafting of a product proposal for business development and financing purposes. Marketing support provides funding for the marketing and promotion of an eligible project such as the creation of national and international marketing campaigns, design costs, creation and market-testing of advertising, use of the Internet for promotion or transactions, and more.
Other key program deadlines include the Aboriginal Program (Production) on May 20, 2014 and the English POV Program on May 27, 2014. This is the only round of funding for these two programs.
