NEW Indigenous Music Retreat!
Creative BC and the First Peoples’ Cultural Council are excited to announce a new opportunity for Indigenous music performers to attend the first Indigenous Music Retreat from May 6–11, 2018, at the Brew Creek Centre, in Whistler, B.C.
Twenty emerging and dedicated artists from across BC will be selected to participate, to develop and expand their careers in today’s music industry. The retreat will include workshops, roundtable discussions, one-on-one consultations and coaching, and evening showcases. Established industry professionals and experienced music mentors will be on hand to share their knowledge, skills, wisdom and experience.
The Indigenous Music Retreat is open to First Nations, Métis and Inuit music artists who demonstrate a lived commitment to a career in music. Accommodation, food and travel costs are covered through the program. This initiative is supported by Creative BC and the Province of British Columbia.
